The Ultima Online client has received another small update and the game version is now 6.0.1.2. The update contains some art fixes, Windows 98 optimization and clilocs updates.

Mythic/EA issued a warning this morning to Ultima Online players who are under the effect of a Scroll of Alacrity and plan to use a soulstone.

While patching the Ultima Online client we got the following alert:

The 3D client will no longer be usable on the live servers as of the client patch that is projected to go live on April 2nd. After that patch, the only clients that you will be able to log in with are the 2D client and, if you're a beta tester, the KR client on certain servers.

The Candle of Love event is now live on all shards. Players are now able to complete all the quests. Here is the BNN article introducing this storyline.

A mandatory client patch for Ultima Online has been released fireday wich fixed some location errors. In other news the UO Hearld is reporting that the Dark Wisp event has come to an end with the evil Wisp defeat.

After the Origin shard, it is now the turn of Test Center to be wiped. All characters and houses will be completely deleted and a patch will be applied. Patch notes follows:

The following updates have been rolled in all the operational UO shards:

• Books of Truth will no longer spawn on monsters
• Dark Wisps will no longer be found in their normal spawn points on Seige and Mugen.  Perhaps they're planning something...
• A well known issue with the housing tools has been solved.

The Britannia News Network is announcing what looks like the next Ultima Online ingame event. After the Ophidian Invasion, this time brave heroes will be fighting the dangerous and obscure Dark Wisps.
