Will Wright, the mind behind games like Sim City and The Sims, was recently interviewed by Popular Science.
In this long and extremely interesting interview he gives more info about his upcoming project Spore , but also express his thoughts about World of Warcraft, Second Life, his own The Sims Online and MMORPGs in general.

The Neverwinter Nights 2 Player Resource Consortium has released an alpha version for the PRC2 pack. Highlights include the return of Psionics and of Truenaming, as well as all of the PRC Spellbook classes.
The PRC2 pack at the moment includes 126 new classes, 300+ new spells, several hundred new feats, 60+ new races, Psionics, Truenaming, PnP Crafting, Spellbooks, Domains, and a host of other goodies for players and builders alike.

The monthly fee to play the fantasy 2D MMORPG Ashen Empire has been lowered. To finance the game development it is now possible to buy game tokens that can be exchanged with game time, expansions, services and ingame items. These changes are the first stage of a long term plan to make Ashen Empires a free service.

The Non Disclosure Agreement for Lord of the Rings Online has been lifted and previews and first impressions of the game starts to appear on the net.

The Dofus update 1.17 is now available on the test server in Beta version, and is expected to be released on the 13/02/07 on the official servers.
This patch will introduce new dungeons, items, gears, and functionalities. Here are the full beta notes.

The v1.04 patch for Neverwinter Nights 2 has been released and is available via the Autoupdater. English, French, Italian, German and Spanish versions of the patch are also available. Note that you will also get a new version of the updater when you attempt to update your game.

With a server update Dofus has incresed the number of monsters whose souls can be captured into soul stones. Read on for the full list of modifications.

The second part of the Litany of the Dead update has been released yesterday. Here follows a description of the new zones introduced and a list of all the other changes brought by this update.

The next Ryzom update will most probably change the NPCs that teleport the players from the starter island to the mainland so that they will offer not only the possibility to teleport to the capital city of their race, but also to any of the 3 others capitals.
